One thing Kim and I are really big on is family and the one form of photography that trumps my love of weddings has to be the Family Sessions! I thoroughly enjoyed every moment I got to spend with the Phillips family today. Landon and Madison were spectacular … mom and dad you guys did good too!

Kim and I did a mid-day shoot in 92 degree weather … no no no. The plus side is Tara and Kodi were both cool as a fan the whole time. I have no idea how they could withstand the heat like they did. Erins Grey applied Tara’s makeup and what a fabulous job she did! Here are a few shots from their shoot. Enjoy!

Memorial Day Weekend 2010 was an interesting one for us. We experienced constant rain showers mixed with the Georgia heat which gave us some CRAZY humidity!!! Our couple had a very quaint wedding in Decatur, Georgia and I must say it was by far one of the most ‘relaxing’ weddings I’ve had the privilege of documenting in a quite a while. The theme was a Conservative 60′s style (as seen in the bride’s wedding dress) and the floral decor was very colorful but not overly done.
Right before the wedding started, the flood-gates opened and the rain poured. By the end of the ceremony the storm was over, sun was out and birds were chirping … gotta just love this Georgia weather.
Our Bride and Groom really chose a great team of professionals. We all pitched in to make sure their day was a success and it felt good not have to deal with ‘unorganized confusion’. My advice to all couples, please invest in a Professional Planner/Director for your wedding day as well as a DJ who also MC’s; TRUST ME it is worth whatever the cost!
I’ll stop my rambling and get to the photos. Below are just a few photos from their day highlighting what was primarily important to Eundria and Marcel. They wanted a nice smooth day with as little rain as possible, yummy cake, pretty flowers, great photos and the opportunity to dance and party with friends and family members who traveled from all over the globe to witness their union!

We had so much fun with Poochie and her SQUEEZE!!! I’m just mad I couldn’t enjoy the beach … guess we need to take another ROAD TRIP!!!!!!
So yesterday we had a rare Sunday eSession! I’m really enjoying this cool weather (minus the pollen and dust). It amazes me how great communication and proper planning can make a shoot day go sooooo smooth. We had a great shoot! See you guys on May 30th!
